We like you to feel involved in our 'Big Think-Big talk' assemblies.
This week our theme is Friendship
The key question we are asking is:
Are you a good friend? What makes a good friend?
Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you for supporting us with our pre-Coronation celebrations. The great British weather was suitably unpredictable and unfortunately, we were unable to gather on the field. However, we did get together in the hall to compare crowns and hear what we'd all been learning about today. The whole school also sang the national anthem and enjoyed their own mini tea parties.
One of the highlights of the day was a visit from Hilary Harris, Chairman of the Parish Council. Hilary and I spoke to the children in each class, explained a little about the role of the Parish Council, answered questions and presented the leather bookmarks which were specially made for the children of Bramhope Primary. I hope your child will use their bookmark and keep it as a memento of this historic occasion.

Choir Visit to the Dementia Care for a Cuppa Cafe
On Tuesday 2nd May in the afternoon, myself, Mr Street and Mrs Rattanpal took the KS2 Choir to Bramhope Village Hall. The children have been practising their 'songs from the musicals' and were really looking forward to singing them to an audience. The choir were singing as part of the Coronation celebrations for the Dementia Care for a Cuppa Cafe. All the children behaved brilliantly, sang beautifully and were a credit to our school. It was lovely to see the younger generation interacting so well with the older generation.

Parent Workshop
It was lovely to see parents and carers for the workshop last night. Many thanks to Sue O'Leary-Hall who returned for the third time. Sue spoke about the impact of change and transition on children (predictable and unpredictable). She provided research-based information and resources alongside personal tips and anecdotes. It was a fun, interactive presentation and a thought-provoking session. We will be uploading the slides to the pastoral section of our website and will also email them out next week.
Our next workshop:
Monday 12th June 5.30-6.30
Understanding wellness: keeping kids engaged in physical activity
