Dear Parents and Carers,
As you are aware, the government announced this week that schools will not re-open to all pupils before 8 March at the earliest. Although it was expected, I know that many parents are struggling with this news. We fully appreciate that these are incredibly challenging times. Both parents and teachers are trying their best to prioritise a range of competing needs and maintain as much normality as possible. It is important that parents are kind to themselves and to each other. Bramhope is special because of the relationships which existed before the national lockdown. I am confident that these relationships are strong enough to see us through it.
We can reassure all parents that children are ‘on track’ with their learning and we continue to be hugely impressed with how well our children have responded to Teams. Remote teaching has been in place for 4 weeks now and we know that for most children, the sessions are providing a structure to the day which was missing from the first national lockdown. We also know that for most parents, the daily interaction with their child’s teacher and receiving feedback on work is making a big difference to levels of motivation at home.
Our team is committed to building upon our existing remote provision and we have been very pleased that children are independently uploading work too. We now have a minimum of 4 weeks remote learning ahead of us and we’d like to hear from you. This feedback will help us further evaluate our provision and offer appropriate additional support to those who need it most.
I am keen to hear feedback from everyone and would appreciate it if you could complete our ten question survey by Monday 8 February. If you have more than one child, please submit a different form for each child. It will only take 5 minutes to complete: LINK
