Dear Parents and Carers
I hope your child has enjoyed their first two days of school. I have been very impressed with the positive start children have made after the long summer break, and it was lovely to have our first, whole school assembly again on Thursday.
Thank you for your patience at pickup and drop off, especially in KS1 where we have a lot of new faces to learn! Today was a lot quicker than yesterday, and it will soon become routine as teachers get to know you and vice versa.
Curriculum information meetings
Our forthcoming curriculum information meetings will be an opportunity to meet your child’s teacher as well as find out about the class timetable and discuss the expectations for the year. Please note, we have slightly altered the dates of these meetings to limit numbers on site:
28 September Reception, Y1 and Y2: 5:30-6:15 Headteachers overview followed by 6:15-7:00pm meeting with class teachers
30 September Y3-Y6: 5:30-6:15 Headteachers overview followed by 6:15-7:00pm meeting with class teachers. Please note, the Headteacher's overview is the same on each day so if you have a child in each key stage, you may choose to come to the class session only.
Safety
Please could I remind all parents that the car park near the medical centre is for staff only? The car park near KS1 is for dropping off only, and we encourage all parents to walk to and from school if possible, or park a short distance away.
Uniform
Thank you for supporting us in ensuring all children have full, correct uniform and PE kit. Children should come to school in their PE kits on PE days. PE days are listed below. Please ensure that all items are named so that lost property can be returned to your child as soon as possible. Water bottles are available in the school office priced £1.50 and can be paid for using Scopay.
Medicine
We encourage all families to administer medicine at home wherever possible. If your child does need to take any form of medication within the school day, please call into the office and complete the appropriate form.
Lunches
All children are now eating a hot lunch in the dining hall. Menus are on the school website and parents should order (through scopay) in advance. This can be done for ad hoc days if you wish your child to have a packed lunch on some days. Please contact the office if you need help with this: admin@bramhopeprimaryschool.co.uk
Clubs
Our priority at the start of term is always to ensure that children feel safe and settled. Once this is the case, and we have established our learning expectations, we encourage all children to make the most of the opportunities outside the school day. See below for information about signing up for this term's sports clubs
