No Home Learning wc 25 May

Call for carrots, courgettes, peas and beans......

Just a reminder that we are not posting any home learning for next week as it's the half term holiday and we'd love everyone to have a break from structured learning.

If you have time during the week, we'd love you to plant some seeds at home so we can create a whole school vegetable patch. Once the seeds have germinated, you can leave them at the entrance of our school garden and we will plant them into our raised beds.

Here’s a link to a simple instruction video on making pots from toilet/kitchen rolls. Alternatively, existing small pots up to 7.5cm diameter could be used.

Courgettes

Plant 1 seed per pot, on its side, 1.5cm deep, in seed compost. Water gently, place on a south facing windowsill and keep compost moist but not wet. Seedling should emerge in 7-10 days.

Peas and Beans

Plant 1 seed per pot, 2cm deep, in seed compost. Water gently, place on a south facing windowsill and keep compost moist but not wet. Seedling should emerge in about 10 - 15 days.

Carrots

Plant 3 seeds per pot, 0.5cm deep, in seed compost. Water gently, place on a south facing windowsill and keep compost moist but not wet. Seedling should emerge in 7-10 days.

Good luck with your planting!

We look forward to receiving your little pots anytime from 12 June
