Before & After School Care
There is provision of before and after school care through a number of privately registered child-minders based locally, as well as our on-site provider 'Kingfisher Buddies'.
Kingfisher Buddies Bramhope is a privately run before and after school Club and is located within Bramhope Primary School. The club provides out of school childcare for children from reception age up to year 6, who attend the school. The club is committed to providing high quality childcare.
Kingfisher Buddies Bramhope is registered with Ofsted who ensure we comply with all regulations set out in The Children Act 1989, the EYFS statutory framework and uphold the Welfare Requirements set by them. To view the most recent Ofsted report please click here. All staff are vetted through the Criminal Records Bureau to ensure they are suitable to work with children. Staff at the club hold relevant and up to date childcare qualifications and have varied and substantial experience of working with children.
The club offers a healthy and varied range of food and drink each day. For breakfast we offer a selection of cereals and toast. For our afternoon sessions, we offer a cold option of wraps or sandwiches with ham, cheese, jam or tuna or a hot option ranging from tomato pasta, noodles, pasta carbonara, spaghetti on toast, beans on toast, chicken curry or chilli. A selection of fruit and vegetables along with water is also available.
The Club provides plenty of indoor and outdoor activities throughout the sessions. There are a variety of toys, construction resources, books, games, DVDs, dressing up and a full role play area for children of all ages. There are also plenty of organised activities including: painting, clay modelling, playdough, baking, junk modelling, paper mache, den making, musical games, parties and much more.
