Dear Parents and Carers,
We started the week with an assembly all about change and I have been really pleased with how well our children have approached their two transition mornings. Learning to embrace change is, of course, an invaluable life skill. I am very proud that our children are confident and able to socialise and work with a broad age range of children with different needs and interests. On Tuesday, children will have their final transition morning. Parents are invited to ‘drop in’ after school at any point between 3:15 and 5:00pm if they would like to meet their child’s new teacher. Teachers will be in their classrooms.
We will be holding our curriculum information meetings at 7pm on Thursday 26 September. This will consist of a formal presentation in KS2 hall followed by presentations led by class teachers about the routines and expectations for the coming year. There will also be time to answer any questions you may have and I do hope that most parents will be able to attend.
Finally, I will be leading a secondary school information evening on Thursday 19 September at 7pm. This will be an opportunity for parents with children in any age group to hear more about the process of transferring from primary school to secondary school and to discuss the range of options available at this point.
Have a lovely weekend
Rachel Colbourn
