Dear All,
I am writing this dressed as a green crayon and so wanted to end the week by thanking you all for entering into the spirit of World Book Day! As you are aware, promoting a love of reading is an important strand of our school development plan and we are determined to ensure that we do everything we can to put reading at the centre of our learning and home learning. There has been a real buzz in school today; we have enjoyed visiting the libraries, seeing how many of the star challenge books we have read and browsing through the books we purchased through the ‘Device -free challenge’ weekend. This morning we came together for a whole school assembly and it was lovely to see so much talk about books, thank you!
Thank you too to the parents who were able to attend our recent meeting about improving the playground. We have been working hard on the ‘Great outdoors’ project behind the scenes and should be able to publish our agreed plan of action next week so watch this space!
Finally, please remember that parents evenings for all children from Reception to Y5 take place on 25 and 27 March. As requested, it would be very helpful if you could complete the Parent Survey by 22 March so that we can gather your views and make the most of your meeting time. You are able to sign up for an individual appointment with your child’s class teacher via ParentMail from 5:00pm on 13 March and we look forward to seeing you there.
Have a lovely weekend.
