Robinwood
On Wednesday 30th January, Y5 set off across the snowy M62 to the Robinwood Activity Centre in Todmorden for a two night residential. In sub-zero temperatures, they braved canoeing as well as the giant swing and completed quests and challenges. They also conquered their fears on the trapeze, zip wire and in the caves. They all came back with toes intact after a speedy exit from the piranha pool!
The children’s behaviour was superb throughout their stay. They had a go at everything, listened to the instructors and supported each other on the activities.
Here are some quotes from the thank you letters they have written to their instructors.
Hattie: You were great at making sure we were all safe and helping us to have a great time.
Holly: You were supportive, helpful, reassuring, fun, funny and kind.
Sasha: You were the most brilliant instructor I could have wished for. You encouraged us to get stuck in.
Ali: My favourite activity was archery. How did you hit five gold strikes in a row?
Lauren: Thank you for helping me to achieve my goals in caving and archery.
Charlotte: You made us face our fears even when things were tough and scary.
Tom: Thank you for cheering me on when I was on the giant swing.
